The Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) has recorded another milestone as the agency received the "Business Excellence Award" during a partners conference of an international pharma company -- Shalina Healthcare Ltd. held Wednesday and Thursday in Lagos.
Receiving the award during the event organized to celebrate the 40 years of corporate existence of Shalina Healthcare, Pharmacist Gali Sule, the Director-General of DMCSA, expressed his profound gratitude to pharma giant for the recognition, attributing the successes recorded at DMCSA to the support and cooperation of the State Government and the Ministry of Health, and the hard work of the staff of the agency..
"I am deeply honored and humbled to accept the Award of Excellence. This award strengthens my resolve to continue working tirelessly to ensure drugs and other consumables remain available, affordable, and accessible to the teeming populace of Kano State," Pharmacist Sule pledged.
"This recognition is not just a reflection of my individual efforts but a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Kano State government, led by the Executive Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf and the encouragement and resilience of the state Commissioner for Health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf.
"As you are all aware, leadership is never a solo journey. I share this moment with my incredible management team and the dedicated and hardworking staff of my agency," the DG concluded.
Earlier, presenting the Certificate of Award to the DG on behalf of their firm, Amtav Basak, the Head of the pharma company in West Africa and Opeyemi Abisola Akinyele, the Nigerian Head,, said the Kano State DMCSA was carefully selected and recognized for being a "valued business partner of the firm for the year 2024/25."
They expressed their utmost satisfaction with initiatives and programs initiated by the Kano State DMCSA, especially in the areas of supplying, warehousing and distribution of commodities which are in line with the best global practice of the supply chain management.
