The measures, programs, and initiatives recently introduced by Kano State Hospital Management Board, led by its Executive Secretary Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, purposely to revolutionize the health sector, has proved to be fruitful.
Making a general assessment on the outcomes of the supervision, Dr. Nagoda described the exercise as success, as it is creating a desired attitudinal change among staff, the general sanitation of facilities is improving, and patient satisfaction has been largely increased as delay in attending a patience has been drastically reduced.
The Hospital Management Board, supported by the State Ministry of Health, headed by the Commissioner Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf has introduced the Executive Supervision campaign to all state-owned health facilities under the board.
Speaking during the launch of the supervision last week, Monday, Dr. Nagoda disclosed that the major objectives of the exercise were to create a positive attitudinal change among medical workers, ensure all government interventions are properly utilized, increase efficiency in service delivery, and mitigate diversion and hoarding of commodities provided by the state government. by some unpatriotic health workers.
He then called for a proactive collaboration with all other agencies in fulling this obligation.
Dr. Nagoda, together with heads of agencies under the Ministry and all directors of the Board, has visited over 20 facilities in two weeks.
